Five errors we make when removing eyebrow hairs

The way you define your eyebrows can affect the expression on your face. Get the best look for your eyes with a good eyebrow design. Here are some of the most common mistakes people make when shaping their brows so that you can avoid them and look perfect:

1.      Not respecting their natural shape

We all have a shape for our brows that works in harmony with our face. Keep this shape by following the three-point rule when defining your eyebrows: use an eyebrow pencil to mark your brows and you will see which hairs need to be removed:

  1. The inner brow edge should line up to the outside of your nose
  2. The brow arch should go down from the last third of your eye
  3. The brow line should follow the length of the eye

It is also important that you don’t worry about them being completely symmetrical. If you follow the three-point rule, they will be balanced and natural.

2.      Excessive hair removal

Once you have defined the shape, we recommend that you limit yourself to removing hair from the lower area. Hair removal in the upper area may leave small imperfections and irregularities.

Combing them with a goupillonand using fixing gelis the best way to keep them in place all day long.

Plucking between your eyebrows too much will make your eyes look too far apart and your nose will look more prominent.

Excessively thin eyebrows will also make you look older and give your face an odd expression. If your eyebrows are naturally thin and you want to give them more volume, here is a step-by-step guide to “How to make up thin eyebrows”.

3.      Not choosing the right tweezers

Not all tweezers are made equal! They need to be well aligned and polished to give the highest level of precision and ensure that the hairs do not break.Beter tweezers guarantee clean, precise and safe hair removal.

It is important to choose the shape of the tip that is most comfortable for you:

Always remove hairs one by one, following the direction of hair growth. Clean your tweezers with alcohol after each use and protect the tip as falling on the floor can misalign them.

4.      Not cutting the hairs properly

You might sometimes have hairs that are too long and need cutting. This should be done with precision scissors, ideally blunt-ended, and only cutting the minimum necessary. Brow hairs take 3 to 4 months to grow and if you cut them too much there will be bald spots. You can solve this with our Brows&Lashes Brow Booster Gel, containing nylon fibres that cover gaps.

Not letting them grow

If you have made a small mistake and have small bald spots or imperfections, it is always better to fix it with specific eyebrow makeup. It is worth the wait to let the hairs grow. Strengthen them with our Brows&Lashes restoring night serum, with a special formula that improves the consistency of eyebrows and eyelashes, and moisturises them while you sleep.
