Tips for shaving with a classic razor

Steps for a good shave:

-          The best time to shave is after a hot shower as the pores are open and it is easier to shave wet skin.

-          Use the shaving brush to apply the foam: it exfoliates, softens and lifts the facial hair.

-          Stretch the skin and use short strokes in the direction of hair growth. Do not press the razor and you will avoid cuts. Start with the sides and the neck, leave the chin and lip area for last. Finish off by comparing the sideburns to make them even.

-          Wash your face with cold water and dry it by dabbing lightly with a towel, without rubbing.

-          Apply aftershave, preferably an alcohol-free one to avoid irritation.

How to clean the razor

Clean it under running water to eliminate hairs and foam, do not tap it or rub it with a towel as this can damage the edges of the razor blades.

The razor must always be cleaned after shaving to avoid build up of residue. Leave it to dry in a dry, airy place.

How long do the blades last?

When you notice that you have to pass the razor over your skin more times than usual or that it pulls your skin, it is time to change the blades.
